(Un-)Stitching Gazes the Podcast
Exploring the impact of the (Un-)Stitching Gazes project in Colombia, five podcast chapters revisit the testimonies of some of the participants in different regions of the country, where needle and thread have been used to embroider stories about peace, diversity, education, justice, memory and design. Join us.

Chapter 1: Unstitching the Gaze
Chapter 1 poses the question: what does it mean to open one’s gaze? It refers to how unstitching gazes allows us to broaden our understanding of what is happening in relation to the conflict and how it is narrated; to connect with the need to take action; to empathise; to expand the project so that more people know about it; and to open up methodological possibilities.

Chapter 3: (Un)Stitching the Enemy
The third chapter deals with unstitching prejudices and stereotypes: learning through diverse testimonies about the diversity among peace signatories, LGBTIQ+ populations, what they have in common, and what needs to be unstitched.

Chapter 4: A Change in Practices
Chapter 4 collects testimonies on the adoption of textile narrative practices in institutions, in the professional and collective spheres, showing examples of tangible changes. A teacher guides us step by step to how they introduced textile narrative into possible contexts.

Chapter 5: Journeys Travelled
Chapter 5 revisits the journeys travelled, the drifts, the methodologies that leave a collective mark. It reflects on what the (Un)Stitching Gazes Collective has unstitched in their eight-year journey, surrounded by friends, communities, neighbours and family; the unstitching of diverse global territories; narratives of internal reflections that leave lessons learned; the joint reflexivity of the project team; the doors that opened and what happened with those doors. Listen to the richness of the interdisciplinary voices of the project members.
